Traditional Pocket Knives and Folding Knives hand made in Sheffield including Lambsfoot blades and other blade types

Sheffield history fire 1 jpeg

Generations of cutlers are still making a variety of pocket knives, penknives and other folding knives to patterns which have been made for centuries. We have have combined some of our Sheffield knives with historic wood and some exceptionally rare wood to create folding knives which of themselves are works of art and visually stunning. Some silversmiths working to traditional patterns and in traditional ways still survive just as some cutlers still survive. Workshops use machines which are quite often Victorian in origin and knife making in those workshops is still reliant on hand and eye.

Our Sheffield made pocket knives and folding knives incorporate exotic wood scales. The above Sheffield made knife has scales made from snakewood which is a fine distinctively patterned knife. All our Sheffield made folding and pocket knives knives come gift boxed and the prices include postage within the UK.

Tea Caddy Spoons 350

Just as our Shefffield knives are made by generations of cutlers so our silver is in many cases made by generations of silversmiths. From an age when tea was a valuable commodity tea caddy spoons were made to reflect the worth of the tea. Prior to the age of steam sailing ships raced to be the first vessels to bring the finest tea back to the UK each year. Magnificent vessels of which the most famous was the Cutty Sark which is still preserved by the Thames at Greenwich. One of our Sheffield pocket knives uses the Muntz metal saved from the Cutty Sark during one of it’s many restorations.
